This curious piece is made so that when the top is lifted, the toothpicks within flare out like the petals of an opening flower bud. The body of the piece is made from "Tornado Maple". On August 11, 1999, a very unusual tornado occurred in Salt Lake City. It took down some maple trees on the avenues. This piece was turned from wood from one of those maple trees. The knob on the top is made from a wood called "pink ivory", for obvious reasons, from Southern Africa. Suggested minimum bid price $15
